About Quebec City Pride

20 years of celebrating pride
in the Capitale-Nationale!

Since 2004, Quebec City Pride has united thousands of people from the gender and sexual diversity communities, along with their allies. In 2024, around 50,000 individuals came together at Place d’Youville and along Saint-Jean Street!

This annual celebration is a powerful moment of pride and solidarity for 2SLGBTQ+ communities and their allies. It’s also an opportunity for queer communities to reclaim public space, making their voices heard while fostering awareness and dialogue on inclusion and rights.

L’Alliance
Arc-en-ciel de Québec

The Alliance Arc-en-ciel de Québec is a community organization based in the Capitale-Nationale. It is a leading advocate for the rights of individuals from gender and sexual diversity (GSD).

Since its founding in 2004, the organization has built a strong reputation as an event organizer. In addition to organizing the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia in Quebec City every May 17th and Quebec City Pride, the Alliance Arc-en-ciel develops various projects to raise awareness and engage the public on the issues and realities faced by individuals from gender and sexual diversity (GSD) communities.

New name, same values

In an effort to increase the visibility of the flagship event for the 2SLGBTQ+ communities in the Capitale-Nationale region, the Alliance Arc-en-ciel has decided to rename its celebration. Formerly known as the Fête Arc-en-ciel, the event is now called Fierté de Québec as of 2024.
